April brings two wonderful music events to Warburton. On Wednesday, 3 April is the River Folk Sessions (https://www.theriverfolkfestival.com/sessions) featuring a program spanning the globe.
From Australia and Canada is duo Shark and Fox (Emily-Rose Sarkova and Jaron Freeman-Fox) embarking on their first Australian tour. Their music is influenced by their travels through Europe and the Appalachians. Also on the bill is Guanaco Trio, from Argentina. The trio is formed by Laura Urteaga on violin, Benjamin Aedo on guitar and Owen Salome playing bandoneon. Their performance will feature their original compositions and interpretations of both traditional and contemporary Argentine folkloric music.

On Friday, 5 April ECOSS is presenting an evening of chamber/folk music: Where Water Meets. (https://events.humanitix.com/where-water-meets-wesburn) The trio’s composing team of Emily Sheppard (violin/viola/vox) and Yyan Ng (guitar, shakuhachi and vox) will present an evening of music inspired by some of Tasmania’s most beautiful and untouched places.
